Apparently, Elgato does not make a bit driver for the HD60 I just purchased so the device doesn’t show up in bit OBS. It does show up in bit OBS, but I’m wondering how much of a hit in encoding performance I’ll suffer compared to bit OBS. (NOTE: I’ve settled on Quick Sync for encoding because it offloads a lot of the processing to. there’s almost no difference between the 32bit and 64bit versions. almost completely insignificant. most performance optimizations I do are done with SSE anyway so the actual bits of the version have very little meaning, outside of the ability to let you use more memory on the 64bit version. They’re talking about a 5% performance improvement.

Also why is there no option in the settings to use 64bit by default, you have to manually go into the files to find the 64bit version? Helixia Member. When you want to use the bit version you can just make a shortcut on your desktop. I personally don’t know if there are differences between the two versions.

The 64bit version will give you a small improvement in x performance, but not all directshow devices work with it. I would start off using the 64bit version unless you can’t add a particular video capture device to it, then try the 32bit version. You must log in or register to reply here.
