From within the office, there’s no problem. Our security appliance is a SonicWall TZ No, the target machine is not a TS, so TS licensing isn’t an issue here. I’m trying to connect to a ‘real’ Windows desktop. Sorry, I guess I didn’t make it clear in my original post. There is no problem establishing an RDC from outside the office, if using a Windows-based machine.

After my post to this forum yesterday, I think I found the answer to my question in an Apple forum. Here’s a link to the post in the Apple forum; it’s actually several years and several generations of Mac OS X back, but given my experience with our Mac running OS X Which, as the post I shared indicates, isn’t compatible with a Windows-based network. I guess we’re just gonna have to pony up the cash and buy a Mac VPN client that’s compatible with both our SonicWall and Windows network.

I’m not sure if I can mark my own post as the answer, but I’ll try after I submit this. If not, a moderator can go ahead and mark it answered as far as I’m concerned. If so, do you have enough Terminal CALs for your client sessions? Whether a Windows-based client also have the same issue in the outside?
